This is a follow up on our earlier post about a Divine encounter! What is the Valley, and how can we have our Divine Encounter there?
Well we might all assume it’s about us! I say not always, it could be about someone else, going through such a rough time our moans & groans pale into insignificance! I encounter so many people in the ministry and life! People physically & spiritually beaten, battered, lost and deep in “the valley” there seems to be no light, our job is to do whatever we can to help! And yes we all get to that stage in our lives when nothing seems to work, nothing seems to be going our way, finances are tight, our spirit is sapped, and we don’t see or recognize the hand of God in our lives. Can I just say that this is the devil’s work! The devil dreads what is in you and coming through you for his time is up. So what he does is cause all kinds of situations to try and bring our spirits down. Those periods in our lives can be called periods of drought or the Valley! And I am here today to encourage you that You will have a divine encounter with God in that valley! That is when God is at work in your life. He never promised us a smooth sailing, but He Promised to always be there for us. That he will never leave us nor forsake us. Sometimes he actually brings us to the midst of “the valley” in readiness for our Greatness. It is to conform us in readiness for great things to come. Just bear with me for a moment and ponder this scripture Isaiah 60:15-17 “Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the LORD am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace, and thine exactors righteousness”.
Do you now begin to understand just how our Jehovah will meet you in that valley you are in, whatever that valley is, God Says It is not permanent! He will not only lift you out, he will elevate you! See that’s Your Portion as a child of God! So worry not and don’t for even one moment waver from his grace!
Let your Destiny (A great one by now you know) determine your surroundings. Ezekiel was taken by God to the midst of the Valley of Dry bones and he was told to Prophesy to the bones…! Ezekiel 37 can you imagine what you would feel if this was even a dream in your life! If you dreamt the very thing Ezekiel went through! You would think it was the worst nightmare ever! Yet this was Ezekiel’s reality and he was told to Prophesy to the Dry dead bones, to breathe life into them, and he did, and these dead bones got sinew and muscle and begun to move…Praise the Lord! (In our current times this is the stuff scary movies are made of) Yet in the good book this was surely a Divine Encounter in the Valley! In Joel 3:14 this scripture assures us that we are not alone in the valley. In fact it says there are “…Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!” and also that the day of the Lord is at hand in the Valley! In the Valley there is Hope for a Divine Encounter!
There is hope in the Valley for a Divine Encounter?
Clearly there is always hope in any situation, the Lord is always near and his Day is at hand! So let’s focus on the Lord, forget all that is going on in our lives, he who created us will surely see us through! In the midst of the valley we must worship the Lord with all our hearts! This is when we must bless his name, sing his praises and confound the devil! While you are down in the dumps, raise your voice in praise, prophesy to your Life all the grand and wonderful supernatural things you want to happen i.e. breath life and sinew into your dry bones and work your plan! Prophesy your vision and Let God Confirm it for you! Do not let any circumstance keep you down in the valley of rob you of your divine encounter…why? For as you focus on what you lack or have lost, you miss the open door and opportunities, the new thing God is doing in your life, Your Divine encounter! Psalms 84: 4-7 affirms that when we praise our Lord while in the valley of Baka, we encounter the Lord in Zion! Our valley becomes our paradise, as the rain of blessings turn it into a place of beauty; we are elevated, we go from strength to strength until we meet the Lord in Zion…Wow! I can tell you this is my Promise, this speaks to me! I know that in the midst of any turmoil, any valley I will rise above it all stronger than ever to meet my God in Paradise! Who wouldn’t want that for their lives! Isaiah 35 says exactly the same in even more flowery language…I love the Word, it surely feeds my spirit 🙂
Your destiny is different from any other person. For time and tide happen to us all, BUT what you do will determine Your Time! When your season comes, no one can stop it. So stand firm and the devil and all his pain & sighing will flee from you Isaiah 35! While in the valley, learn to give, to share for it is in giving that we receive. As we give to God, we are blessed. Imagine the widow who had nothing and who still in that very state in her life in her life, Jesus observed her give her last pennies in the synagogue! She knew that God would provide, and thus gave all she had! Do you believe that this could be you! The thing God is about to do for you, no eyes have seen, nor ears have heard it! So wait on the Lord and your divine encounter with him shall come to manifest, neither time nor man limits God!
And may his grace and fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us now and always! Today I leave you with the promises of Psalms 27, Yes stand on this scripture and your life will always be peaceful, covered, and full of abundance, full of Joy, cup running over in the house of the Lord!
