A Journey of Faith in Life

JOURNEY OF FAITH, Scriptural Guidance

OUR JOURNEY OF FAITH IS THE SUPERIOR WORK OF CHRIST

Our Journey of Faith can be looked at in light of the priesthood of Christ versus the priesthood of Aaron and the priesthood of Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18-20 and Psalms 110:4). In this season before the Birth of Our Savior, we must as Christians focus on how our faith begun and what lessons have we learnt or must we learn and teach the younger generation, our children about faith, thus setting them on their own journey of faith! This message is to guide you on your journey of faith and set you up for a better prepared journey in Faith! We all know that one of the things we must to to keep our journey on track is Continued Prayer, which we touched on briefly in that blog a few weeks ago!

I truly believe in sharing scriptural guidance and you read & meditate on it and how it applies to your life rather than telling you what to do with it. Every so often I share how it has impacted my life or those close to me. I definitely would like to share how it impacts members of the church with their permission! So without further ado below is some scriptural guidance on the school & journey of faith:

The superior covenant of Christ (Luke 2:23, Acts 13:46-47 and Galatians 3:8-14)

The superior sanctuary and sacrifices of Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9)

THE CHRISTIAN WALK OF FAITH

In order to have a smoother sailing and Spiritual growth and graduate in one’s journey of faith, you have to hold fast to the faith you have received (Romans 1:18 & Romans 8:1)

The definition of faith (Hebrews 11:1-6)

The roll call of faith (Hebrews 11:18)

The priesthood of Christ is far superior to any other priesthood because Jesus is instantly available; he is eternal and provides us with his own infinite power and strength. Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1) people are always looking for evidence for the Christian faith, and it is available because Christianity is a reasonable faith. For the bible, the manual for any traveler in the life journey of faith displays numerous lives that lived by faith and benefited from their belief!

Abel who by faith made a better sacrifice than his brother Cain? Enoch who did not taste or see death because of his faithful service to God. Noah who saved his family from the flood of God’s judgment because of his faith in God. Abraham and Sarah who followed God by faith, not knowing where He would lead them. Isaac who blessed his sons by faith. Jacob who blessed Joseph’s sons by faith, we spoke about his story read it here. Joseph who foresaw by faith the exodus of Israel from Egypt to the land of promise. Moses who chose by faith to identify with the suffering of his people, even though he could have chosen the pleasures, wealth and security of sinful Egypt. Joshua who by faith called down the wall of Jericho and others. Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel, the prophets and many other saints unnamed but remembered forever by God for battling by faith to the end of their lives, enduring incredible persecution while trusting in God to provide for them a better resurrection.

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Hebrews 2:2 faith involves commitment that is expressed through action, so you must commit to the journey of faith and take the road-map which is the Bible and commence for its always better to start than to never even take a step!

TESTING OF FAITH

Every believer in Christ is part of the school of faith and is on a journey that should culminate in The resurrection of Christ and eternal life and that faith will be tested again and again. So, you might ask yourself, what is “The purpose of testing” and what is “The source of temptation?”

OPERATION OF GENUINE FAITH

Genuine faith is obedient

Genuine faith is not prejudiced

Genuine faith demonstrated by good works

Genuine faith controls the tongue

Genuine faith demonstrates wisdom

Genuine faith demonstrates humility

Genuine faith demonstrates reliance on God

We will continue this….hold that thought! To your abundant Faith & Grace and may the blessings of Psalms 23 be always with you!
