HOLY SPIRIT

THE CONCEPT AND DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

One of the greatest needs in the church and in the Christian life today is the power of the Holy Spirit. Man in his natural ability is not able to serve God acceptably, and even if the Spirit has renewed God, through salvation, this in itself does not assure him spiritual power in his life. The true biblical teaching regarding the Holy Spirit is often ignored, misunderstood, and abused. Therefore, it is extremely important to study carefully the God’s word to see what it says about the Holy Spirit. “The doctrine of the Holy Spirit is called pneumatology coming from the Greek words “pneuma” meaning spirit and “logos” meaning word”[1]. The Holy Spirit is one of the doctrines in the biblical teaching concerning the person and work of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a Divine being, His “Attributes” reveal His divine nature, He is “omnipresent” (knows all things 1Co.2:10-11) He is “omnipresent” (everywhere) (Ps.139:7-10) He is called the “eternal” spirit (Jn. 9:14) His “work” reveal His divine nature; He was involved in the “creation” of the world. (Gen.1:2) and (Job 33:4).

5 STEPS TO BLESSINGS BEYOND ALL HUMAN UNDERSTANDING

God clearly reveals His plan for our prosperity in the first six verses of Ecclesiasts 11. This is one of the most powerful passages in the Bible on this topic of abundance.
Each of the following five steps are directly from God’s Word and crucial to triggering God’s overwhelming outpouring of supernatural harvest in your life.

SOW SEED FOR SOULS.
Cast thy bread upon the water; for thou shalt find it after many days. (Ecclesiastes 11:1)
Clearly the Lord promises that sowing seed for souls will always produce a harvest. Waters in this scripture represent the world. There is an unfailing law of giving and receiving. Therefore, our bread is never lost. Our seed is never misplaced. It goes into our future and returns as a mighty harvest.

INCREASE YOUR SEED PLANTING FOR PROTECTION

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. (Ecclesiastes 11:2)
Increasing  seed on a regular basis brings a mighty harvest, and that act of faith also protests us and our loved ones from harm.
None of us knows what evil the Enemy may be planning against us tomorrow, but amazingly, giving to God’s work to save the lost builds a wall of protection around us. And this protection covers every area of our life, including our finances.

I’m simply giving you the Word of God. Throughout the Old and New Testaments we find many examples of generous givers who were protected by God Himself. One of the earliest examples is Abraham (Genesis 14), who was protected because of his heart for obedience and his willingness to give.

David was protected from the Amalekites and recovered all (1 Samuel 30). Like Abraham, David’s obedience and his giving nature were revealed when he gave the spoils to the elders of Israel.

Giving truly builds a mighty, defensible wall of protection from the Enemy. That is clearly stated throughout God’s Word, including in this notable passage: He hath dispersed , he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish” (Psalm 112:9-10)

We know that storms will come our way. That’s just a part of life. Gazing in fear at the gales and tempests when they surround us will kill our faith for sowing. With no seed, there can be no harvest. But we are told in Ecclesiastes not to look at the storms

STAY FOCUSED ON GOD AND HIS PROMISES

If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth; and if the treefall toward the south, or toward the north , in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. Ecclesiastes 11:3-4

Storms are sent by the devil to distract us from what he knows works. He does not want to see you blessed; that’s why he regularly sends anything he can to cause fear, to keep your faith weak, and to distract you.

God’s command is clear. Don’t look at the storms. Look, instead, toward His faithful promises!

TRUST GOD TO MULTIPLY THE SEED YOU SOW.

As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all (Ecclesiastes 11:5)

Here we have it! The most learning among us don’t know exactly how the wind blows, how a baby grows, or how a seed grows. We can observe these things, and we may try to explain them, but in the end, God is in charge.

It’s not our job to figure out how the seed multiplies. That’s God’s business. All we have to do is sow the seed. John 12:24

SOW ABUNDANTLY AND FREQUENTLY

In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that or whether they both shall be alike good. (Ecclesiastes 11:6)
God sealed the message in Ecclesiastes 11 with this amazing truth. He exhorts us to sow seed in the morning and in the evening because ultimately we don’t know which seed will trigger the harvest.
God does not ask us to simply sow now and then. He wants us to sow twice a day. Why? He wants to bless us beyond human understanding.

In face, the Bible teaches very specifically; He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6) if we sow abundantly, we will reap an abundant harvest.

UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIANITY

Jesus was not the founder of Christianity as we know it today. Most of the New Testament doesn’t even concern the historical Jesus while the main influence is the Apostle Paul and through the church he founded at Ephesus a Greek convert named John. Paul never met Jesus in the flesh, he only claimed some spiritual visions and proceeded to Hellenize the teachings of Jesus (who preached a generic form of Judaism), until he created Pauline Christianity. Because there are no known writings from Jesus or His actual Apostles, most of what He really taught is remains controversial. Also see the disputed Gnostic Gospels.

The book of Acts 2, 9, 11 provides the historical record for understanding and knowing the Apostle Paul. The books written by Paul begin with greetings to the readers. The first thing Paul does in his letters is by identify himself. According to scholars, within the 27 books of the New Testament, 13 are written by Paul.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE PROPHETS

Malachi (מַלְאָכִיMal’akhiy) meaning my messenger or my angel is one of the most mysterious Bible prophets.  Though a revered spokesperson of God, there are few details about him outside of Scripture.
He is the last of the Minor Prophets in the Tanakh (Jewish Bible), placed in that position because Judaism traditionally believes that prophecy ceased with him and will only be renewed in the Messianic age.
